The COVID 19 pandemic has upended all of our lives and significantly altered the practice of medicine.  During these extraordinary, confusing and stressful times, please know that the physicians and staff at Internal Medicine Associates, P.C. remain committed to your health and safety.  In an effort to limit exposure to the virus for our patients, all physicians and staff will be wearing surgical masks at the office. Upon arrival, all patients will have their temperature taken.  If you have a fever, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment. Upon entry into the office, all patients will be provided a surgical mask and will be required to wear this within the premises.

As an alternative to in person office visits, the physicians at Internal Medicine Associates now offer telemedicine visits.  With a smartphone, this is a user-friendly method to interact with your physician. Please contact the office for details.

At this time, we do not have a means by which to test for the COVID 19 virus in house.

If you would like to be tested for COVID-19, we can make arrangements through the Georgia Department of Public Health , Navicent Health 478-633-8730 or many CVS Pharmacies. Rapid testing is available through Macon Occupational Health 478-751-2900.

If you would like to be tested for COVID-19 antibodies, we are offering this test in our lab with same day results.

We now have a limited supply of the Moderna Covid 19 vaccine. Please call the office if you would like to schedule an appointment to receive the vaccine.

In the meantime, continue to follow government and CDC recommendations. Wear a mask while in public places, maintain social distancing, remember to wash your hands frequently and avoid touching your face.
